Iowa E15 Retailers Go “Pink at the Pump” for Breast Cancer Awareness

Participating Iowa E15 retailers are joining the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF), and The Hormel Institute for October’s Pink at the Pump campaign. The E15 retailers will donate 3-cents of every gallon of E15 sold during the entire month of October to NBCF and The Hormel Institute to help fight breast cancer through early detection, education, support services, and research.

E15 is approved for use in all 2001 and newer vehicles, and reports say it contains less toxins and cancer-causing chemicals than straight petroleum gasoline. Iowa-based Sukup Manufacturing applauds the Iowa Renewable Fuels Association and participating Iowa E-15 retailers for this campaign.

“As a breast cancer survivor, I applaud this initiative to help fight breast cancer,” says Sukup Manufacturing Co. Sales Director Diane Hughes. “The ethanol industry plays a very important part in our industry, and it is very rewarding to see them support a cause that is so meaningful to me.”
