AgPro Retailer Training Day

During the event, Farm Journal Field Agronomist Ken Ferrie and team will lead attendees through a session on managing dicamba technology, including a look back and discussion of this season’s applications. Along with that, Ferrie will address how retailers can manage the new dicamba formulations effectively in 2018, and will look at the factors that cause drift--which ones you can fix and which ones you must manage around and how.

Along with addressing dicamba management, two other presentations at the event feature Ferrie and his no-nonsense, science-based insights coupled with boots-in-the-field experience. They are: Nitrogen News: Managing N in Corn from Emergence through Harvest; and Fungicide Factors: Selection, Use and Assessment for the Best ROI.

Additional topics and speakers scheduled for the event, include:

Richard Gupton, Senior Vice President, Public Policy & Counsel for the Agricultural Retailers Association. Gupton will give event attendees the latest news about government regulations and policies that affect their business now as well as the outlook for the year ahead.

Fred Whitford, Purdue University Director of Pesticide Programs. Whitford has addressed topics as diverse as pesticide-drift prevention, safe towing and securing loads, and even practical practices retailers can use to build and retain customers. This special session will feature Whitford’s latest research and insights on moving applicators safely to and from the field.
