What the pandemic has shown is that “life-work balance” is important and that employees will be expecting the right balance from their workplaces.
“We need not to be in denial about the toll stress and worry can take on our health and its impacts on our short- and long-term performance and health,” writes Grant McMillan
Our industry is very diverse and constantly evolving. As such, everyone’s life experiences will be different within the workplace.
Matt Winslow: The NAICC is more than an organization. It’s a family of agricultural professionals that I personally will cherish for a lifetime.
The 2021 season is not over yet, but NAICC is already looking forward to 2022. The year’s first and most exciting event is the 2022 NAICC Annual Meeting and Ag Pro Expo, Jan. 24-28 in Orlando, Florida.
The resources of the Foundation exist as building blocks for the maintenance and future of professional crop management practitioners.
Issues we are currently following are Worker Protection Standard, Endangered Species Act, IR-4 funding and Organophosphate (OP’s) reregistration.
Although the meeting is not face to face, these virtual series offer the opportunity to reengage and reconnect our members.
The webinars will be the beginning of the NAICC Academy and will consist of a variety of topics relevant to our consultants, researchers, and quality assurance professionals.
Every year is different, but we always adapt and survive says Matt Winslow, NAICC President.
In line with the recent survey sent to 1,168 NAICC members and annual meeting attendees, the NAICC Executive Board voted to forgo any type of annual meeting or trade show in 2021.
“We need to stimulate our youth to become involved in agriculture on a local and national level.”
Earlier in the year it had been suggested that the Executive Board complete a SWOT assessment for NAICC and treat it like a “mini” strategic planning session.
This seems like a simple thing, but look at how many times we are guilty of not reading and following label directions.
