Helm Introduces Two New Products to Plant Advantage Portfolio
Helm has added two new products - Contour and Uplink - to its Plant Advantage portfolio with the intention of increasing yields through increased nutrient utilization and efficiency in plants.
“Helm is committed to providing growers with innovative solutions that help them achieve their production goals and overcome the challenges of modern agriculture,” said Dave Schumacher, president of Helm Agro US. “Contour and UpLink are the latest additions to our Plant Advantage portfolio, which bridges the gap between synthetic crop inputs and the new wave of biologicals. We are excited to introduce them to the US market and help growers make more with what they already have.”
Versatile Soil Improvement
Contour focuses on soil health and is meant to enhance root growth, microbial activity, soil functionality and nutrient availability through residue breakdown.
The product is compatible with a variety of fertilizers and can be applied preplant, preemergence, and alongside most traditional application programs.
"Contour is a game-changer in soil health, offering farmers an efficient solution to optimize their fields. By leveraging proprietary metabolites, Contour ensures a healthy soil environment throughout the growing season, contributing to the success of crops from seed to harvest," said Tim Eyrich, plant advantage product development leader at HELM.
Contour is labeled for use in row crops such as corn, soybeans, cotton and small grains.
Faster Plant Growth
Uplink is formulated with potassium, molybdenum and two biostimulants to increase plant protein production. Helm shares this combination leads to nitrogen assimilation at higher rates than other products on the market, which can lead to faster and more abundant plant growth.
"With UpLink, we're addressing a critical aspect of plant nutrition, making nitrogen more accessible and profitable for farmers. By unlocking efficient nitrogen assimilation, UpLink empowers plants to thrive, ultimately contributing to increased crop productivity and overall farm success," Eyrich said.
In addition to increased nitrogen efficiency, the company says users can expect UpLink to provide:
- Improved tolerance to biotic and abiotic stressors
- Improved root and shoot mass
- Reduced nitrates in sellable produce products
The product is labeled for use in corn, leafy vegetables, cereals, cotton and potatoes and should be applied prior to the plant’s high nitrogen use timing.
