On March 5, Ag Growth International (AGI) announced it is expanding its technology platform with the acquisition of IntelliFarms LLC.

IntelliFarms is a provider of hardware and software solutions that benefit grain growers and processors, including BinManager which is an automated grain storage management software that uses sensors, cables and control to remotely monitor and maintain ideal storage conditions. Additional products include SureTrack Farm which is a central portal offering farmers multiple tools including seed trait data, field management, and bin management. Launched in 2018, SureTrack Pro is for processors, seed companies, and cooperatives.

IntelliFarms was founded in 2001, is headquartered in Archie, Mo., and had approximately $11 million in sales for the year ending in Dec. 31, 2018.

Also in March,  IntelliFarms’ Chief Technical Officer, Don Schaefer, retired. In 2006 Schaefer partnered with Todd Sears to design, develop and bring BinManager to market.

In its history, AGI has acquired more than 35 brands spanning seed, fertilizer, grain, and feed systems as well as food processing facilities. The company is headquartered in Winnipeg, Canada.
