Mose Middleton, a professional applicator with Nutrien Ag Solutions in Rochester, Indiana, has been named the 2019 AGCO Operator of the Year.

This year’s award marks the 14th year the manufacturer has presented the award to highlight the important role applicators have in the ag retail industry.

Middleton has 28 years of service with Nutrien Ag Solutions, and annually applies more than 33,000 acres.

Upon receiving the award, he said, “I’d like to thank our staff back at our plant because without them I couldn’t win this.”

“Mose is a great example for our new applicators,” Curt Kline, Nutrien sales manager, who nominated Middleton for the award said in the announcement. “He is the first one to arrive and the last one to leave during the busy season. This sets the expectation for our younger applicators, many of whom Mose has trained.”

The grand prize, a new Harley-Davidson motorcycle, was presented to Middleton on December 4 during the 2019 Agricultural Retailers Association (ARA) Conference & Expo in New Orleans, Louisiana.

This year’s contest had more than 80 entries. Read more here.
