All-In-One Soybean Inoculant
Delivering its biological payload via an easy-to-handle, single-liquid bladder, Lallemand’s LALFIX ProYield Liquid Soybean provides multi-action inoculation for soybeans.
Here’s a bit more about its formulation, which requires no mixing and provides two unique species of biological agents:
Bradyrhizobium elkanii (two proprietary strains)
- Higher rhizobia survival and competitiveness
- Earlier nodulation
- Season-long N fixation
Delftia acidovorans
(proprietary strain)
- Stimulates root growth
- Boosts root colonization
- Solubilizes iron with siderophore production
- Increases sulfur availability
Matt Pfarr, technical sales manager for the U.S. at Lallemand Plant Care, highlights how LALFIX ProYield Liquid Soybean brings unique benefits in managing soybeans–its earlier and faster nitrogen fixation and benefits of the inoculant beyond that.
“This product helps establish that strong crop early, which is key. Early-season stress can contribute to yield outcomes, so we need healthy roots,” he says. “Also, it complements an offensive strategy for managing iron deficiency chlorosis and significantly improves leaf greenness.”
He shares ag retailers and farmers appreciate the design of the product to be delivered via a single bladder—without mixing. “It’s been a great vehicle to deliver a big biological payload,” he says.
The product officially launched three years ago, and Lallemand has seen sales growth every year both with volumes and geographic footprint. It thinks 2022 is poised to be another strong year for product sales and performance.
“Farmers are coming off tough years with commodity prices and weather—namely, drought—so my advice is to focus on production choices we can control heading into the next season. Boiled down, that’s three areas: seed selection, seed treatment and seedbed prep,” Pfarr explains about the 2022 crop. “So for example, ProYield Liquid Soybean is something growers can invest in to help control their outcomes.”
Lallemand Plant Care’s portfolio of liquid peat and granular biological products spans biocontrols, biostimulants and biofertilizers—most of which are multistrain products. The company works with traditional ag retail distribution, and its products are supported by eight sales support team members on the ground.
