U.S. Representative Jim Costa (D-Calif.) recently toured Nutrien Ag Solutions’ facility in Cutler, California, as part of the Agricultural Retailers Association’s (ARA) coordination of congressional facility visits for ARA members during congressional recess periods.

“Agriculture is the backbone of the Central Valley, and our growers depend on a strong network of agricultural retailers to keep their operations productive and competitive,” said Congressman Costa. “From providing essential crop inputs to bringing precision technology and agronomic expertise directly to the field, companies like Nutrien Ag Solutions are important partners to our farmers. I appreciated the opportunity to visit the Cutler facility, hear directly from the people doing this work, and discuss how we can support the businesses and workforce that keep Valley agriculture moving forward.”

“We appreciated the opportunity to host Congressman Jim Costa at our Nutrien Ag Solutions branch in Cutler. Congressman Costa has long been a strong advocate for agriculture in the Central Valley and across California. As a farmer himself, he brings valuable firsthand perspective to policy discussions in Washington. We look forward to continuing our work together on issues that matter to growers, rural communities, and the customers we serve,” said Paul Poister, Manager of Government and Industry Affairs for Nutrien.

The Nutrien Ag Solutions facility in Cutler is one of nearly 60 locations throughout California. The company employs approximately 1,300 employees in the state and serves customers that are as diverse as California agriculture.

“Rep. Jim Costa’s visit to Nutrien Ag Solutions is exactly the kind of firsthand connection ARA works to make happen,” said Hunter Carpenter, ARA Senior Director of Government Affairs. “It’s especially valuable for a House Agriculture Committee member to see a retail operation up close, and we thank the Congressman for his time and effort to keep California agriculture strong.”
