Landus has announced Matt Jones as their newly appointed executive vice president of sales. Jones’ has over 23 years of experience across all major markets and cropping systems in the US including the West Coast, South and primarily the Midwest corn and soy markets.

“In this new role, Matt will be overseeing all sales conducted within Landus. Together, we’re creating the best buying experience for the farmer by including all aspects of their farming operation into a full-service package,” said Matt Carstens, Landus president & CEO.

Sales in grain, agronomy and other key areas will now be housed under one sales structure with the addition of Jones. For the farmer, Landus says this means a more comprehensive plan and seamless experience as they seek to create long-term customer partnerships and meet needs in new and different ways.

“Our efforts are focused on putting the people first – this includes our farmers, our employees and the people who built this great country in the rural and agricultural communities,” Jones said. “The ag market and global landscape have changed over the last 12 months and continues to change daily. At the end of the day, it comes down to Landus earning the trust of their farmers and helping them make the best decision for their operation. I’m excited to engage my team in working to meet the needs of our farmers – today and into the future.”

For the past nine years, Jones served as a strategic account manager at BASF, where he was later promoted to director of the Midwest region. Prior to BASF, he also spent 12 years at Syngenta, where he held a variety of roles including sales, marketing and management.

“I hope to utilize my diverse work experience and learnings over the past 23 years to support and lead Landus towards its next horizon. We will operate with a solution-first mindset and a high degree of integrity while we create value for our customers and partners. I believe that our sales team is the heartbeat of our organization, and I’m eager to help farmers reach their goals,” he said.
