The Hull Co-op board of directors has selected Evan Wielenga as their new general manager, effective January 1, 2024.

Wielenga will replace Ed Westra, who is retiring after 19 years as general manager and 41 total years with Hull Co-op.

Since joining the company in 1999, Wielenga has served in several roles, including as an agronomist, agronomy manager, and most recently as assistant manager.

“It is a privilege to work for an organization whose sole purpose is to serve its member-owners and share its profits. It has been a blessing for me for the past 25 years and led to my decision to accept this role of leadership at Hull Co-op,” he said. “I intend to continue on the path that’s laid out before me to ensure Hull Co-op is as vital tomorrow as it was yesterday.”
