GreenPoint Ag Wins The Scoop’s Business Innovation Award

Due to its achievements in digital transformation, GreenPoint Ag has been named the 2023 recipient of The Scoop’s Business Innovation Award, sponsored by Ever.Ag. The award was presented Nov. 30 at the Agricultural Retailers Association Conference and Expo in Orlando.

The Business Innovation Award recognizes ag retailers who demonstrate digital transformation in their business. These include outstanding examples of how ag retailers are taking their enterprise resource planning, agronomics and business data to elevate how they serve customers and build a sustainable business. It is awarded to a single ag retail location and its team in the U.S.

“Ag retailers are taking on the task of showing up for their farmer customers in new and valuable ways,” said Margy Eckelkamp, editor of The Scoop. “It is our goal to highlight the work being done to create digitally enabled and meaningful business relationships and show excellence in the ag retail business.”

Alabama-headquartered GreenPoint Ag was formed in September 2020 and has more than 100 locations in 10 states. The transformation from traditional manual processes to efficient digitization is exhibited at its Halls, Tenn., location, which led to it being named the 2023 Business Innovation Award winner.

“Our mission is to help our customers succeed in an ever-changing world, and that means consistently looking for ways to optimize our customer experience and the business processes that support them,” said Jeff Blair, president and CEO of GreenPoint Ag. “We’re thrilled and grateful to be honored as the 2023 Business Innovation Award recipient. Excellence requires innovation, and this award renews our energy to pursue serving the southern farmer well.”

For the second year in a row, the award program received a strong pool of applications. The program will continue with Ever.Ag for 2024 and applications will open soon.

“In the course of evolving to meet changing grower needs, it is innovation that moves us from the past to the future,” said Ernie Chappell, founder and SVP of strategic development at Ever.Ag. “Embracing change is synonymous with innovation, and I’m so pleased to congratulate GreenPoint Ag on winning The Scoop’s Innovation Award for 2023.”
