DLF recently held a ceremonial ribbon cutting and an appreciation barbecue for local seed growers at their new state-of-the-art seed enhancement and operations facility in Albany, Oregon.

“It is our intention to continue building our business from the Willamette Valley and make investments that keep the seed industry vibrant for years to come,” said Soren Halbye, DLF’s group CEO. “This investment signifies DLF’s commitment to our grower partners and helps us deliver exceptional results for our customers.”

The new 141,000 square foot facility, which will allow DLF to consolidate its Oregon operations, features a seed enhancement line, high-speed fully automated blending line with palletizers, diverse packaging capabilities, 12 loading docks and 65,000 square feet of storage space for finished goods and raw material.

“DLF is a 150-year-old business owned by 2,600 Danish seed growers," said Neil Douglas, DLF's EVP of North America. "We’re proud to celebrate this milestone with our grower partners and add to the enduring legacy of DLF”.

The company’s footprint includes eighteen processing centers and five research stations across Canada and the United States.

“It is DLF’s goal to be the top seed supplier for forage and turf in North America, and this is an important step to support our future business growth,” added Halbye.

DLF USA was established in 2017 when the US branches of DLF and Pickseed combined to form one company. Today, its footprint includes more than 80 countries with sales of turf seed, forage seed, and other crops.
