CropLife America Appoints New President and CEO
The CropLife America (CLA) board of directors has named Alexandra (Alex) Dunn as their new president and CEO.
"The CLA board of directors is excited to announce Alex Dunn as our next CEO," said Andy Lee, chairman of the board and president and CEO of Valent North America. "As CLA members continue to innovate to address challenges faced by growers, health officials, and consumers, Alex's experience will provide guidance and leadership in both the policy and regulatory spaces. We look forward to working with her as she steps into this role."
Dunn was previously a partner in the environmental, safety, and incident response group at the Baker Botts, L.L.P., law firm, where she worked on pesticide issues, chemical regulation, water quality, enforcement, litigation, environmental justice and community engagement. In 2019, she was confirmed by the U.S. Senate to serve as assistant administrator for the EPA's office of chemical safety and pollution prevention.
"I am truly honored to be named president and CEO of CLA," Dunn said. "CLA's leadership, members and staff are dedicated to sustainability, innovation, science and environmental and human health protection. Working with them will be a privilege. As it has been for more than 90 years, CLA will be at the center of key agricultural conversations. I cannot think of a better moment than the present to work towards agricultural solutions that benefit the public and the planet."
