Columbia Grain International (CGI) has launched a new seed and agronomy program to serve as an end-to-end solution for farmers and buyers.

“Our new seed and agronomy program makes growing better for everybody. Importantly, it gives farmers high-quality, certified and conditioned seeds hand-selected for their growing conditions, and guidance throughout the entire growing cycle,” said Madison Fritz, a CGI seed agronomist and certified crop advisor.

CGI says the program consists of expert agronomy forecasts, high-quality seeds and seed advising, regular visits to review soil and crop health and help identifying market opportunities. Among the experts guiding these decisions are third-party breeders, experienced certified crop advisors, and brokers.

“The program also provides buyers with confidence, transparency and crop data throughout the year. Dedicating this kind of support to all of our stakeholders benefits not only our producer and buyer partners but the industry as a whole,” Fritz said.

The company plans to grow and evolve the program as they build more producer partnerships and hire more seed and agronomy experts.
