AgGateway Debuts Ron Farrell Attitude Award
The inaugural Ron Farrell Attitude Award was extra special with the addition to the annual AgGateway Conference. Among many lifetime achievements in the industry, Ron was a founder of the organization and an inspirational catalyst for collaboration and connectivity until his passing in 2020.
Ron's wife Judi and daughter Kelly Farrell were on hand with AgGateway president and CEO Brent Kemp to present the inaugural Ron Farrell Attitude Award to Ann Vande Lune of Key Cooperative.
"Ann embodies the positive, forward-thinking 'attitude' that Ron exuded throughout his career, with a dedication to not only help to build out and implement connectivity solutions, but to urge her trading partners and fellow retailers to follow her lead," Kemp says.
The award celebrates the work ethic and drive of one of the key founders of AgGateway and its mission. Vande Lune has been a driver not only for implementing connectivity solutions for Key Cooperative, but for spurring other retail organizations to look at and adopt them as well. This past year she participated in all of AgGateway's three-city Connectivity Roadshow events in Iowa, Nebraska and Indiana to engage directly with fellow retailers to help them understand the real efficiency and profitability benefits of connected systems, and the benefits of participating in the process through the work of AgGateway.
