The American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers will hold its 93rd Annual Conference in San Antonio, Texas, this November. Leading rural professionals from across the country will gather to discuss the most pressing topics in the industry with a focus on education and networking.

Aside from the usual learning activities, the Texas chapter of the ASFMRA is making special preparations to create a fun and welcoming event for all to enjoy. Activities include a fantastic kickoff barbecue dinner on Tuesday, Nov. 8 featuring pit-cooked meats. The Texas chapter has also arranged for live music and dancing with Western swing legend Billy Mata and The Texas Tradition set to perform on Thursday, Nov. 10.

The main event, which will run from Nov. 9-11, will begin with attendees choosing to participate in an ag tour or a case studies session for appraisers. The Pioneer Ag Tour will provide guests with an opportunity to visit several local ag businesses and learn about their operations. The Appraiser Rapid Fire Case Studies session will cover unique and timely rural valuation topics. In the evening, everyone will convene for a ceremony to honor winners of the 2022 ASFMRA Awards and those who earned their accreditation through the Society and can now count themselves among the most qualified and trustworthy rural property professionals.

General sessions will begin on Thursday, Nov. 10 with industry leaders presenting on a range of critical topics, including:

  • Land Value Trends
  • The Importance of ESG in Institutional Ag Investment
  • Where Modeling Works and Where It Doesn’t
  • 2022 Policy Impacts

Following the first day of sessions, attendees will be able to join their friends and colleagues for live and silent auctions as well as a fantastic dinner.

The final day of the ASFMRA’s 2022 Annual Conference will conclude with two additional general session topics and an optional tour for conference guests who are interested in exploring downtown San Antonio.
