NexGen Agronomy Solutions was founded three years ago, and co-founder Ben Werr shares the business was built on the type of work the team does, and why the team does it.
“One thing that we really strive to do is provide the best service in the area. We take a lot of pride in what we do and I feel like we offer the best service there is out there in the area,” Werr says. “We’ve got a tremendous team of employees and they’re just not scared to work and, and a lot of times a year we’re working seven days a week and some pretty long and hard hours but I think that’s one thing that sets us apart from the rest.”
He’s also proud to say they are building a new headquarters and have their eyes on growth.
When reflecting on how his business got started and what has led to their success, Werr reflects it’s about keeping the customer at the center of the focus.
“If you take care of your customers, your customers are going to take care of you. If you can go out there and work hard, provide them with the best service possible, and make the best recommendations, at the end of the day it’s the way we keep the lights on and the doors open,” Werr says. “As our customers keep coming back and if you can keep your customers happy, then you’ll always have a spot in this industry.”
Werr says his availability to help farmers has been key as weather has pushed tighter planting windows. In 2022, he reports a wide range of as-planted dates, which will led to harvest likely stretching into December by his estimation.
