Bushel has created its own chat bot using large language models and APIs to its platform data including CRM data, interactions, calls, and transactional data from the ERP.
As explained by the Bushel team, they have married the data used on its platform with the power of AI to bring actionable insights.
For example, prompts to Buddy could include:
- “Who hasn’t contracted grain in the last six months?”
- “How many customers haven’t been called in the past 30 days?”
Bushel says this new functionality can simplify workflows by eliminating the need to run additional reports or use multiple systems to get this information.
“Buddy makes it easier for agribusinesses to know where to focus and how to move faster,” said Jake Joraanstad, CEO of Bushel. “We’re working to streamline the entire customer workflow—helping teams go from identifying opportunities in the CRM to completing payments seamlessly. Adding card acceptance and delivering new capabilities like contract management are part of that effort to make digital tools more useful across the business.”
This tool was announced at the company’s Buddy Seat conference, which took place last week. Other news from the event includes:
- An expansion to payment options via Bushel so now agribusinesses can now accept debit and credit card payments for grower invoices and balances due.
- Quotes in the Customer Portal is now live for ag retail customers
