Smartwyre is launching Grower Compass, a platform intended to provide retailers with more insights into their customer pool.

Grower Compass is a web interface that uses past data to provide information as needed by the retailer on:

  • How and where to upsell specific products and services to a specific grower
  • Which segments of the market to move into
  • How to optimize margins using product substitutions
  • Where the most impactful prospects are in a particular geographic area, and how to target them based on their individual needs

The company says this information is compiled based on grower-level transactions and can give sales, product and profitability insights filtered by location, helping retailers understand performance metrics for individual growers and see which locations require the most attention from staff.

“Grower Compass addresses a key market need – giving our retail customers a single place to see key commercial insights about each grower that they deal with including sales trends and margin,” said Adrian Kelly, Smartwyre’s chief product officer. “It also means our retail customers can identify opportunities to better serve these growers. With Smartwyre’s mission of a digitally connected ag supply chain, this market need has been key for us to address.”
