Lower Transport Height For John Deere’s Most Popular Nutrient Applicator
With its latest design of the 2430C nutrient applicator John Deere reduced the transport height of 25-row (62.5’ working width) 2430C model by 2.5’---now at 14’.
In addition to the 25-row machine, the 2430C series includes a 19-row model with a 47’ working width.
“The new 2430C Nutrient Applicator is a rugged, highly productive tool for ag service providers and farmers to accurately apply anhydrous ammonia across more acres more quickly while minimizing outgassing,” Ryan Jardon, product marketing manager for John Deere said in a product release. “With the 62-foot- or 47-foot-wide model, customers can select the right size to best fit their operation and nitrogen application needs.”
The reduced transport height is due to an adjustment on the outer wings which allows for maximum working width paired with a lower transport height.
Both sizes of John Deere 2430C nutrient applicators are designed to provide precise nutrient placement, feature 30” spacings with Tru-Depth heavy duty cast standards along with TruSet depth control, are built with a floating hitch, and boast increased productivity. The machines can be outfitted with coulters, a variety of knives and closing disk options.
“TruSet depth control and documentation capabilities on these tools are other unique features ag service providers and farmers will find useful,” Jardon said. “These tools provide customers with the complete package of durability, precision, control, documentation and performance they want when trying to cover as many acres as possible under tough field conditions and tight application windows.”
