The 2022 ARA public policy priorities were drafted with the input from members and recently confirmed by the Board of Directors.
The goal is to bring about regulatory reform and commonsense legislation.
ARA President and CEO Daren Coppock said: “Based on the concerns of our members, ARA expressed opposition to the employer mandate.”
In March, ARA members are invited to participate in the annual legislative fly-in event–an opportunity for ag retailers to tell their stories firsthand to members of Congress and policymakers in the administration.
The letter is in response to recently introduced legislation (S. 3283) that would undermine the science-based standards contained within our nation’s pesticide law.
This new option along with the already existing Farm Supplies Merchant Wholesalers is a win for the ag retail industry because it will allow ag retailers to select the best option to fit their facility needs.
“The ARA members and industry partners present this week can proudly return to their companies equipped with new knowledge and stronger industry connections,” said ARA President and CEO Daren Coppock.
“ARA’s mission is a critical one for our industry as the only voice on Capitol Hill dedicated solely to advocating for retailers,” said Ian McGregor.
As part of the program, each Rising Star also completed the ARA NAVIGATOR 360° online leadership assessment to identify their own strengths and areas to improve as it relates to their company’s unique needs
ARA honored Alex McGregor with the Jack Eberspacher Lifetime Achievement Award for his legacy of leadership of The McGregor Company.
