The board of directors of the Asmark Institute, a leader in agricultural safety and compliance, announces a transition in its leadership team. Amber Duke, who has been an integral part of the organization since 2006 and served as president & CEO since 2019, has decided to embrace a new role as Asmark’s vice president of marketing & communications. After careful consideration and deep reflection, Amber has made the personal decision to transition from her role as president & CEO. The Asmark Institute board has named Brian Mason as the next president and CEO of Asmark, effective October 1, 2023.

"Transitioning to a new role is a decision I've made with great thought and consideration," Duke said. "My dedication to the industry, the incredible Asmark team, and our clients remains unwavering, and I am excited to continue contributing to the organization's success in a fresh capacity. The role of vice president of marketing & communications aligns perfectly with my professional aspirations and personal strengths and allows me to continue to support and enhance Asmark's mission."

Billy Pirkle, chair of the Asmark Institute board of directors, said, "Amber’s enduring commitment to the industry, the Asmark team, and its valued clients remains steadfast, and her contributions have been instrumental to the organization's growth and success. Her institutional knowledge, leadership abilities and skillset have profoundly shaped the organization's positive trajectory, and the entire board and the staff stand united in our support of her decision. We are thrilled that she will continue to be a key leadership team member."

In tandem with this transition, Brian Mason, who has been an integral part of the Asmark Institute since 2008 and assumed the position of vice president & COO in 2019, will take on the role of president & CEO. Brian's extensive industry experience and deep understanding of the organization position him well to lead the Institute forward.

"I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to lead this amazing organization into its next chapter and to continue to work with Amber as part of our leadership team. The Institute's competitive advantage lies with our skilled and dedicated team and our work ethic which are second to none. I am confident that we will continue to provide unparalleled service and support to our clients and the industry," Mason said.

This leadership transition marks the beginning of a new era of innovation and progress for the Asmark Institute, building upon the solid foundation established by its visionary leaders over 33 years ago to provide industry-leading solutions and support to agricultural businesses. The board of directors is confident that under Brian's leadership, the Institute will continue to thrive and uphold its legacy of excellence.
