Veterans Day is November 11, 2022, and Koch Fertilizer is honoring veterans or those who are currently serving in the reserve components of the U.S. armed forces. 

The company says, “At Koch Fertilizer, we are proud to employ and provide opportunities to many military veterans. Not only are we honored to have them utilizing their unique abilities and personality traits to help us succeed as a company, but we’re also thankful for the chance to support their own professional growth and career goals.”

Their message included: “Thank you for putting your country first. And for dedicating your time and talents to serving our nation and keeping us safe. Because of your courage and character, we are free to live, to work, and to pursue the passions we find most rewarding — and for that, we are forever grateful.”

As part of this recognition, Koch Fertilizer talked with eight employees who are veterans about their service. The stories are posted here. 

Common themes talk about how their experiences changed and prepared them for the future including developing leadership skills, working with a variety of people, knowing their core values. 

“Koch Fertilizer is proud to have many veterans working within our organization,” said Scott McGinn, Koch Fertilizer executive vice president. “We recognize the knowledge and experience military personnel have gained throughout their career, and we appreciate the values and skills they bring with them after protecting our country.”

In total, Koch Industries employs 9,000 military veterans and military spouses. The company is a Military Friendly employer, and in that Koch works to remove barriers, helping veterans and other members of the military community to enter the civilian workforce.
