Nufarm Names New Vice President of Sales, U.S. Crop Protection
Nufarm Americas Inc. has appointed Jeff Wagner as vice president of sales – U.S. crop protection. Wagner will assume the role as Ken Barham becomes regional general manager on October 1.
Wagner joined Nufarm in 2019 and served as a crop protection key accounts manager where he contributed to growth and customer focus.
“Jeff is valued for his reliable and competent leadership and collaboration in building solutions to resolve issues and maximize opportunities for customers,” said Barham. “His immense experience in the crop protection market, channel dynamics, supply procurement and partnership, growth-building programs and new product introductions will be invaluable as he takes the helm of the U.S. crop protection business.”
Prior to joining Nufarm, Wagner spent eight years at WinField United.
“Nufarm’s commitment to just-in-time solutions that meet grower needs will be enabled by three factors: Nufarm’s global supply footprint, our three recalibrated US manufacturing facilities, and the team we’ve put in place.” said Barham. “I’m confident in Jeff’s ability to lead our plans for growth, innovation and customer delivery in the crop protection space.
Ben Kaehler Receives Industry Vision Award
The Mid America CropLife Association (MACA) has presented its Industry Vision Award to Ben Kaehler, former vice president of national accounts at Corteva Agriscience.
With a career spanning 38 years at Corteva and Dow AgroSciences, Kaehler has been a strong supporter of MACA, contributing resources, team involvement, and frequent participation in industry panels. His dedication to preserving, improving, and protecting the crop input industry has been unwavering throughout his various roles within the company.
Kaehler retired from Corteva in March 2024 and is focused on running a 300-head registered cow-calf herd. During the MACA annual meeting, he shared the strategy of his career and advice that has served him well.
“Don’t win a battle and lose the war,” he said. “We want to be in this business for decades to come, and you have to think long term about the products, the relationships, the technologies we have, and then think about it long term and how we survive, how we thrive.”
First presented in 1982, the MACA Industry Vision Award recognizes individuals who have devoted their careers to promoting and protecting the interests of the entire crop protection industry, supporting American and Midwestern agriculture, and demonstrating leadership within their company and other industry-wide organizations.
Brehmer Manufacturing Celebrates 50th Anniversary
Brehmer Manufacturing is celebrating its 50th anniversary with an open house event on Friday, October 4.
During the event, the public will be able to tour the plant, visit with workers, and learn about the company and its products.
Since its founding in 1974, Brehmer Mfg. has grown from four employees in a 1,500 sq. ft., former olive factory to almost 60,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space and 45 full-time employees.
During this time, the company has remained a family business. Current president Joe Brehmer took over in 1998 after his father, Rey, retired. Family members Jamie, Ryan, Alex and Chad, have also joined the business over the years.
“It’s hard to believe that it has been 50 years,” says Joe. “Our success would not have been possible without the dedication of the men and women who have worked here. The amazing support we got from our customers and vendors made this journey very special.”
