ARA Congratulates USTR Katherine Tai

Agricultural Retailers Association (ARA) President and CEO issued the following statement following the U.S. Senate’s unanimous confirmation of Katherine Tai to the position of U.S. Trade Representative (USTR):

“ARA is pleased that the Senate confirmed Katherine Tai as USTR today. The 98-0 vote underscores her demonstrated ability to build bipartisan support for trade policies. She has the experience and expertise to secure greater market access for U.S. products and ensure enforcement of clear and fair rules with our trade partners.

“This experience and focus will be important to ensure U.S. food and agriculture workers and our industry sectors may fairly compete in the global economy. We look forward to working with her and her team in the future.”
