The Agricultural Retailers Association (ARA) today commended the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for taking meaningful steps forward on pending pesticide registrations, consistent with the urgent action ARA requested in a recent letter to Administrator Lee Zeldin.

“We appreciate the EPA completing its science-based reviews of new pesticides and advancing their registrations,” said Richard Gupton, ARA SVP of Public Policy & Counsel. “These registrations mean farmers should have new tools in time for the 2027 growing season, though state-level review and approval is still required before any product can be used in a given state. New pesticide products being available matters as resistant weeds and disease pressure keep challenging growers. We look forward to continuing to work with EPA on the other pending registrations that are essential to the ag industry’s ability to manage resistant pests and diseases.”
