Seeing Is Believing: The Real Results Yield Challenge
Launched for the 2025 season, the Real Results Yield Challenge is the largest nationwide comparison-plot program from BASF, encouraging retailers and farmers to put performance-driven fungicides to the test. Thousands of farmers, representing more than 10% of regular fungicide users, participated and saw the impact of performance-driven fungicides firsthand.

The challenge centered on side-by-side comparisons on farmers’ own fields, testing Veltyma®, Revytek® or Revylok® fungicides against untreated acres or those treated with other fungicides. And the results were clear.
“On my farm, we applied Veltyma fungicide on corn and saw a 12-bushel yield advantage per acre, and we sprayed Revylok on our soybeans and saw a 4 to 5-bushel yield advantage, so I’m absolutely impressed with those fungicides,” — North Carolina Farmer Will Brinkley
While trial data is always useful, being able to show your customers a comparison on their own acres can build even more confidence that performance-driven fungicides deliver real results.
“One of the things we assume is that in tough economic times, the first thing people stop doing is trying new things. We thought, Mother Nature’s not slowing down, so let’s create a challenge for growers to put us to the test,” said Brady Spangenberg, Director of US Crop Protection Marketing at BASF. “We had over 1800 growers take us up on that challenge this year. Many of them saw results — up to a 30-50 bushel difference in corn and a 10-bushel difference in soybeans when they use a BASF performance-driven fungicide.”
Farmers who conducted a side-by-side comparison, shared fungicide performance photos and submitted yield data earned chances to win one of three two-year leases on a 2025 Ford® Super Duty® F-250® Lariat®. The winners of the 2025 Real Results Yield Challenge will be announced in December.
