The Agricultural Retailers Association (ARA) leadership recognized Tim McArdle, executive vice president at BRANDT, with the ARA Distinguished Service Award for his support of the association and the agricultural retail industry.

Nearly 600 industry professionals attended the 2019 ARA Conference & Expo where the award presentation took place. Selected by the ARA Executive Committee, the ARA Distinguished Service Award honors individual members of the association who have gone above and beyond the traditional volunteer responsibilities.

McArdle’s long-term service to ARA through participating on the board of directors and in officer roles is one reason he is being recognized; however, it is how he stepped out of ARA leadership and into leadership roles for two allied organizations, ResponsibleAg and AgGateway, that secured his place as the 2019 winner of ARA’s Distinguished Service Award.

“Both of these organizations are rendering very important services to ag retailers, and McArdle plays a critical role as chairman of both,” says ARA President and CEO Daren Coppock.

“Few people are willing to step from one leadership commitment to another with such robust motivation as Tim.”

McArdle grew up on a farm in south Alabama and received his Master of Science from Auburn University. Prior to joining BRANDT, McArdle was at Trace Chemicals for 25 years serving as partner and general manager of Trace Chemicals.

BRANDT offers products, knowledge, and service to increase yield and maximize productivity for customers as one of the fastest growing family-owned companies in the U.S. Since a brother and sister founded the company in 1953, the BRANDT team has helped its local growers implement custom crop management approaches and offers cutting-edge products to customers globally.
