Wilbur-Ellis Donates $100,000 To Red Cross For Coronavirus Crisis

“As a global company, giving to the Red Cross is one of the best ways to reach people in need worldwide,” Wilbur-Ellis President and CEO John Buckley says.

Wilbur-Ellis President and CEO John Buckley announced that the company has donated $100,000 to the Red Cross.

The funds will be directed for efforts in the COVID-19 pandemic in the areas were Wilbur-Ellis and its employees are– the U.S., Canada and Asia-Pacific .

“We recognize the unprecedented needs created by the coronavirus pandemic, and Wilbur-Ellis is committed to relieving some of the hardship with this donation. As a global company, giving to the Red Cross is one of the best ways to reach people in need worldwide. We are pleased to support the humanitarian and disaster relief efforts of the Red Cross during this time of crisis,” Buckley says.

“As a family-owned company that is nearing its 100th anniversary, we are proud to support the agriculture, animal nutrition, energy and chemicals industries – all considered “essential” businesses that support the food supply and provide other vital products for society,” he continues.

Buckley notes as the health crisis developed, Wilbur-Ellis continued to operate and serve customers while adopting strict health protocols. He says the mission of the company and the purpose it serves helps feed the world and provide essential products needed by everyone.

“We recognize our responsibility and know that we are fortunate to be able to operate during this challenging time. We will continue to meet our responsibilities, while doing everything possible to protect the health and well-being of our employees. You are amazing people who have risen to the challenge and make everything we do possible,” he says.
