ARA applauds the revision for 2022 to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) to include the new Farm Supply Retailers option.

This new option along with the already existing Farm Supplies Merchant Wholesalers is a win for the ag retail industry because it will allow ag retailers to select the best option to fit their facility needs.

NAICS is the standard used by Federal statistical agencies in classifying business establishments for the purpose of collecting, analyzing, and publishing statistical data related to the U.S. business economy.
