It’s almost time for the 2021 Farm Journal Field Day events! Join Farm Journal on Aug. 25 to get a first-hand look at farming in the Mississippi Delta.
The event, hosted by Silent Shade Planting Company of Belzoni, Miss., will feature farm tours, education, networking and insights from the Silent Shade Planting Company team.

“First and foremost, we are farming with the next generation of farmers in mind,” says Jeremy Jack of Silent Shade Planting Company. “We want our business to be one that will successfully pass on from one generation to the next. Second, we want our business to be in a constant cycle of improvement, never stagnant. The agriculture industry is ever changing, and we make a point to anticipate and embrace new agriculture technology and practices.

8:00 a.m.: Buses Depart for Greenville

8:45 - 10:00 a.m.: Tour - Producers Rice Mill

10:00 - 11:30 a.m.: Buses Depart for Belzoni

11:30 - 12:30 p.m.: Tour - Field and Harvest

12:30 - 1:30 p.m. Lunch at Wister Gardens, Belzoni, Miss. & Meet the Silent Shade Planting Team - Jeremy Jack, Elizabeth Jack, Stacie Koger and Willard Jack

1:30 - 1:45 p.m.: Break

1:45 - 2:15 p.m.: It’s Time to Play Financial Offense Again with Rabo AgriFinance’s Neal Wimberley, Charles Nicholson and Tripp Shepherd

2:15 - 3:00 p.m.: How to Profit from Soil Health with Mitchell Hora, Continuum Ag
