Retailers Encouraged to Stand Up For Grain Safety
This week (March 25 to 29) is the National Safety Stand-Up For Grain Safety Week. The initiative aims to raise awareness about grain handling and storage hazards, provide education and training, and convey safety best practices.
Here's an overview video of the safety initiative:
If you aren’t familiar with the concept of a safety stand-up, it is a voluntary event for employers to talk directly to workers about safety. Specific for grain safety topics could include "Grain Engulfment Hazards" and reinforcing the importance of grain bin safety. Stand-up events can be used as a communication tool to address everyday hazards as well as give employees direct connections with management.
