USDA announces extension of deregulation to GE potato

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) is announcing an extension of deregulation to a line of genetically engineered (GE) potato developed by J.R. Simplot Company for low acrylamide potential, reduced black spot bruising, and lowered reducing sugars.

A copy of the petition, determination, finding of no significant impact, and supporting documents can be found on the News and Information page of the BRS website.
