J.R. Simplot Company Acquires G-Mac’s AgTeam of Western Canada

The J.R. Simplot Company, a family-owned, privately held food and agribusiness company headquartered in Boise, Idaho, has agreed to acquire G-Mac’s AgTeam, a retail market leader in agricultural crop inputs and related services throughout Western Canada. G-Mac’s AgTeam has 15 retail stores that will now be Simplot Grower Solutions locations.

“We’re thrilled to expand our retail footprint in Western Canada and to provide products and services to help local growers get the most out of every acre,” said Troy Bolt, Vice President and General Manager Retail Business of Simplot Grower Solutions. “We welcome the new employees, customers, and partners and look forward to continuing the G-Mac’s AgTeam legacy of delivering exceptional service and sound agronomic advice.”

The new Simplot Grower Solutions stores are located in Saskatchewan. With the acquisition, Simplot welcomes more than 100 new employees to the Grower Solutions team, including more than 40 Agronomic Advisors with local experience, agronomic knowledge, and relationships with growers.
