The Mosaic Company announced three changes to its senior leadership team, effective Jan. 1, 2019, to support the company’s initiative toward exploring new avenues for growth.

The company is also creating a strategy and growth division which will include its business development and market and strategic analysis teams.

"These changes represent an important step forward in Mosaic's evolving strategy," said Joc O'Rourke, president and CEO of The Mosaic Company in a news release. "While our potash, phosphates and Mosaic Fertilizantes businesses will remain the central engine that drives Mosaic, innovation and new avenues of growth are also important to our future success.

Walt Precourt, senior vice president of phosphates for The Mosaic Company, will become senior vice president of strategy and growth. Precourt joined Mosaic in 2009 to lead the company's environment, health and safety efforts. He has also served as senior vice president of potash.

Bruce Bodine, senior vice president of potash, will replace Precourt as senior vice president of phosphates. Bodine joined a Mosaic predecessor in 1999 and has served in a variety of roles in the company’s potash and phosphates business units.

Both Precourt and Bodine served on the senior leadership team previously, but Karen Swager, vice president of minerals in the phosphates business unit, will join the team for the first time.

Swager will replace Bodine as senior vice president of potash. Since joining a Mosaic predecessor in 1994, Swager has served as the general manager of individual mines and processing facilities and as head of processing and minerals.

"I am confident that Walt, Bruce and Karen-all proven leaders-will help Mosaic achieve its remarkable potential in the years ahead," O’Rourke said in a news release from The Mosaic Company.
