One Fatality in Waterloo Grain Bin Accident

One person is dead in a grain bin accident in Waterloo, Ia.
Dispatchers received a call around 11:30 a.m. CDT Monday to the 1700 block of Broadway Street, which is the East Central Iowa (ECI) Co-Op.
According to Waterloo’s The Courier, the worker was trapped to his waist in corn and conscious. Firefighters cut holes in an attempt to drain the grain, but the man was later pronounced dead.
Lauren Moss, a reporter with KWWL, is reporting the CEO of ECI says the situation is currently under investigation.
